Galveston Beach Day!

We had a blast in Galveston last weekend! We went down to meet Hailey's (now fiance') Little did she know we were bringing down the ring. We were really excited to be apart of this sneaky little plan.

We had a great time on the beach. Hayden loved sitting in the water and having the waves crash into him. He was just laughing and would have stayed in the water all day long if we let him. Nate was happy to finally have a buddy to play with so he doesn't have to lay out on the beach and be "boring."

This was obviously before Hayden woke up from his nap. We drove down from Dallas to Galveston it was a 4 1/2 hour drive. Amazingly Hayden didn't sleep the entire time. The beach isn't your beach destination but it was fun to get in the water. The ground was pretty hard, not like our Hawaii beaches.

Hayden is definately a water baby. He loves being in the water. This was his first time in the Ocean. When we went to Hawaii he was still a little young for the ocean.

Playing in the sand was a little difficult. Hayden just wanted to put it in his mouth. We were feeding him some snack ans he kept putting his sandy hands in his mouth. He literally loves to eat EVERYTHING! Babies for some reason get sand in every little crack and crevice. Hayden tends to have a few more than we do!

Look at these two love birds? It was so fun to see Hailey so in love and happy. When Nate and I were engaged we went to Hawaii with the family. One day we were sharing a lounge chair. We were engaged and we just wanted to be next to each other as much as possible. Hailey was disgusted that we would share a lounge chair, we were messing up eachtohers tan lines. We told Hailey there will come a day that you will meet someone and you will just love them so much you'll want to be in their lounge chair. We told Johnny we were waiting for the day that she would meet her Lounge chair boy!

Their was a pier off the beach called Pleasure Pier, it has a bunch of Roller Coasters on the Pier. It was really amazing! It was really amazing to be on these rides and you were out over looking the ocean. Nate and Hailey tend to get a little sick on some rides, I was happy to have Johnny to go on the rides their tummies couldn't handle. It was perfect because Johnny and I could talk about the proposal details while we were on the ride and Hailey had no idea!

The pier was originally built as a recreational facility for the United States military during World War II. In the 1940s it was transformed into the Galveston Pleasure Pier and then it was hit by hurrican Ike in 2008 and they rebuilt it just 4 years ago.
We had checked out of our hotel room so we didn't have a place to shower or get ready. I gave Hayden a bath in the lobby bathroom. When i took off his diaper it was COVERED in sand. It didn't seem to bother him. I was trying to get Hailey ready without being obvious. I wanted her to feel pretty when she was getting proposed to. But look at her she is beautiful no matter what!

Hayden was such a good sport. It was a long hot day and he didn't have a nap in the afternoon.  He started to get tired towards the end.
